James Kastner
I served in the U.S. Navy for eight years.
I have lived in five countries.
I have held real estate licenses in four jurisdictions.
I've renovated four of my own homes, including one in the Netherlands.
There's so much more to my story.
Since stepping into the real estate scene in 2002, my name has become synonymous with innovation and strategic thinking. My career took off in San Francisco, where I was a key player on a top-performing team. I made a splash by creating the city's first property website using basic HTML in 2002, setting the stage for a series of industry firsts, including custom CMAs and professionally printed marketing collateral such as value point signs and multi-page brochures. I have continued to lead the way with high-quality marketing materials, consistently setting a new bar for the industry.
My entrepreneurial spirit led me to establish Intersect Marketing Group, which I later sold after making significant impacts in both the digital and traditional marketing spaces. My strategies for properties, agents, and brokerages were comprehensive and forward-thinking.

After consulting internationally from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, I made a bold move to Washington, DC. My knack for genuine connections and a relationship-focused approach quickly caught the attention of developers and industry professionals, helping me accumulate a strong track record of success.

My role in property sales is impressive, having orchestrated over $400 million in transactions. My work hasn’t gone unnoticed — I’ve earned prestigious awards such as UrbanTurf's Listing of the Year and multiple Best of accolades from Washingtonian Magazine.

In DC, I started from scratch, knowing hardly anyone, and quickly climbed to the top by introducing innovative marketing methods that once again set me apart from the competition. My trend-setting approach made me a recognized figure in the capital, respected among peers and competitors alike.

2019 marked the start of an adventure in the Netherlands, where I successfully launched two pandemic-era businesses and restored a historical Dutch building, showcasing my versatility (you can see the property online at www.Voldersgracht11.nl). My rich background also includes serving in the U.S. Navy as a Yeoman Petty Officer Second Class and earning a B.S. in applied economics from the University of San Francisco.

I stand at the intersection of tradition and innovation. My journey in real estate is not just about transactions — it's about pioneering uncharted territories. With a commitment to redefining standards and a deep understanding of the market's nuances, I continue to lead and inspire in an industry characterized by constant change.
